Your academy's SEO
Why Google does not show your academy yet
An empty academy asks Google not to index it. As soon as you publish a course, a bootcamp, a workshop, a path, a blog post or a one-on-one program, your academy becomes indexable and your sitemap fills in on its own.
What makes it indexable
One of these, published and visible, is enough: a catalog course, an active listed bootcamp, a workshop, a path, a blog post, or an active listed one-on-one program.
While there is nothing, your pages carry a noindex tag, the sitemap is empty, and robots.txt does not announce it. That way Google does not keep a blank academy as its first impression.
After you publish, the change can take about 10 minutes to show.
Files Wislab builds for you
sitemap.xml: the list of your public pages, at your academy's address followed by /sitemap.xml.
robots.txt: lets search engines into your public pages and keeps them out of the dashboard, checkout, certificates and account pages.
llms.txt: a summary of your published courses, bootcamps and posts so AI assistants understand what you teach.
All three work on your subdomain and on your own domain once it is verified.
Paid lessons are not indexed
Lessons that require payment or access carry noindex so their full content does not show up in a search engine. What does get indexed is each course's landing page.
