Terms and conditions
In effect since October 29, 2026
1. Who we are and what you agree to
Wislab is a product of Tech Benders S.A.S. de C.V. ("Tech Benders", "Wislab", "we"), located at Sur 71-A 232, colonia Banjidal, alcaldía Iztapalapa, C.P. 09450, Mexico City, Mexico, tax ID (RFC) TBE260616ND3.
These terms govern the use of wislab.app and the Wislab platform. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you use Wislab on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
2. What Wislab is
Wislab is software-as-a-service infrastructure that lets creators, educators and companies ("academies") run their own online academy, with their own brand, domain, courses and prices.
Wislab is not a school, a course marketplace or the seller of the courses. Each academy is responsible for its content, for what it promises its students and for the terms it agrees with them. We do not academically accredit the courses or the certificates each academy issues.
3. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You must be at least 18, or the age your country requires to enter into contracts, to create an academy. Underage students may only use an academy with the authorization of their parent or legal guardian.
- An academy can invite its team and give them roles. The academy is responsible for what the people it gives access to do.
4. Plans, fees and billing for academies
- Plans, their prices, their limits and the platform fee on each sale are published at wislab.app/pricing or agreed in writing in a proposal.
- Paid plans are charged in advance for each period and renew automatically until the academy cancels. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
- Plan payments are non-refundable, unless applicable law says otherwise or we agree in writing.
- We may change prices and plans. We will notify affected academies at least 30 days in advance; the change applies from the next period.
- Prices do not include taxes unless stated otherwise.
5. Charging students
- Each academy connects its own Stripe account. Student payments go directly to that account: the academy is the seller and the one who charges.
- Wislab collects its platform fee through Stripe at the time of each sale. Student money does not pass through our accounts.
- The academy is responsible for its prices, for issuing its tax receipts and invoices, for the taxes that apply to it, for its refund policies and for handling chargebacks and disputes.
- The use of Stripe is also governed by Stripe's terms.
6. If you are a student
Your purchase is with the academy you study at, not with Wislab. Questions about content, prices, refunds, dates or certificates are handled by the academy. Each academy's terms and privacy notice apply in addition to these.
7. Content and intellectual property
- Your content is yours. Academies keep all rights to the courses, text, videos and materials they upload, and students keep theirs to their submissions.
- You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, process and display that content, only to run and improve the service for you. The license ends when you delete the content or close the account, except for backups, which are deleted in their normal cycle.
- You represent that you have the rights needed for what you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
- Wislab is ours. The software, the Wislab brand, the designs and the documentation belong to Tech Benders. You get no rights to them other than using the service under these terms.
- If you believe content on Wislab infringes your rights, write to mike@wislab.app with the details.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Wislab to:
- Publish content that is illegal, misleading, defamatory, incites violence or hatred, or exploits minors.
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks or other third-party rights.
- Send unsolicited email or bulk communications without consent.
- Sell products or services prohibited by law or by Stripe's policies.
- Try to access other academies' or accounts' data, break security, or interfere with the service (including attacks, large-scale automated scraping or reverse engineering).
- Resell or sublicense the service without a written agreement with us.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Unless the risk is urgent or the law prevents it, we will notify first and give a chance to fix it.
9. Artificial intelligence features
Some features use third-party artificial intelligence models, with the keys each academy connects. Generated answers may contain errors: review them before using or publishing them. The academy is responsible for the content it publishes based on them.
10. Personal data
We process personal data under our privacy notice. For its students' data, the academy is the controller and Wislab acts as a processor: we process that data only to provide the service and following the academy's instructions. The academy must have its own privacy notice and the legal grounds needed to process that data.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Wislab available and secure, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". There may be interruptions for maintenance, provider failures or causes beyond our control. We may improve, change or remove features; if we remove a significant feature from a paid plan, we will give reasonable advance notice.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of data or business opportunities.
- Our total liability to an academy, for any cause, is limited to the amount it paid us in the 12 months before the event that gives rise to it.
- We are not liable for academies' content, for what they promise their students, or for third-party services such as Stripe.
None of this limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including consumer rights.
13. Cancellation and closing
- You can cancel your plan or close your account at any time from the platform or by writing to us.
- We may suspend or terminate an account for a serious breach of these terms, for non-payment or when the law requires it.
- When an academy closes, you can ask us for an export of your data. We keep the data for 90 days after closing and then delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, email academies at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the service after that date means accepting the new version.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the federal laws of Mexico. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Mexico City and waive any other jurisdiction that might apply to them, unless consumer protection law provides otherwise.
