How to connect Zoom to your academy
Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoom and click Connect Zoom. You authorize Wislab in Zoom and you're done: meetings for your classes, bootcamps and workshops are created in your account, and recordings can reach each class on their own.
Available on: Only the academy owner or an admin can connect or disconnect Zoom. Automatic recordings need Zoom Pro or higher with cloud recording turned on.
Step by step
Step 1: Sign in to your academy as the owner or an admin and go to Settings → Integrations → Zoom.
Step 2: Click Connect Zoom. Zoom opens: sign in with the account that hosts your classes and click Allow.
Step 3: Zoom sends you back to Wislab and the card says Connected as your email.
Step 4: To have recordings added on their own, turn on Add recordings to each class automatically.
Step 5: For classes that already happened, open the program, Videos tab, and click Bring recordings from Zoom.
What the integration does
Meetings: when you schedule a workshop, a bootcamp class or a 1:1 session, Wislab creates the meeting in your Zoom account and puts the link on the class. Your students see it in their dashboard, under My programs → the program → Live classes → Join class.
Recordings: with the switch on, when Zoom finishes a cloud recording, Wislab puts it on the class whose date matches the time it started, passcode included. It never replaces a video already on that class.
Attendance: Wislab records who joined and left each live class.
How to remove the integration
From Wislab: Settings → Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect, and type DISCONNECT to confirm. Wislab revokes its access in Zoom right away.
From Zoom: at marketplace.zoom.us go to Manage → Added Apps, find Wislab and click Remove.
What happens to your data: Wislab immediately deletes the access tokens and the Zoom user and email it stored. Wislab stops creating meetings and receiving recordings. Meetings that already exist stay in your Zoom account, and the meeting and recording links already on your classes stay as your academy's content until you delete them. To ask us to delete any other data, email mike@wislab.app.
Troubleshooting
The card asks you to reconnect: Zoom no longer accepts the access, for example because the app was removed in Zoom or the password changed. Click Reconnect.
A recording doesn't show up: check that the switch is on, that your Zoom plan is Pro or higher and that the class was recorded to the cloud. The recording goes to the class dated within 12 hours of when it started. If there is none, use Bring recordings from Zoom or paste the link by hand in the Videos tab.
