How to connect Mercado Pago to charge your students

   Step 1: In your Mercado Pago account go to Your integrations (mercadopago.com/developers) and create an application named after your academy. It is just how Mercado Pago hands you your keys.

   Step 2: In that application open Production credentials and copy the Access Token, which starts with APP_USR. If you want to try it first, copy the one from the test credentials.

   Step 3: In Wislab go to My academy → General, Payments tab, and find the Payments: Mercado Pago card.

   Step 4: Paste the Access Token, turn on Enable Mercado Pago at checkout and save. Wislab checks the token and shows you the connected account and the currency it charges in.

   Step 5: Price your bootcamps and courses in that currency. The Pay with Mercado Pago button shows on products priced in your account's currency.

Try it before charging

Turn on Test mode and paste the test Access Token. Only your team sees the button and nobody pays real money. When you are done, paste the production one and turn test mode off.

Cash and pending payments

When a student pays in cash (OXXO, Efecty, Rapipago and others), the payment stays pending. Wislab gives access as soon as Mercado Pago credits it, with nothing for you to do. The voucher expires after three days.

You don't need to set up notifications in Mercado Pago: Wislab tells it where to notify on every charge.

Refunds and chargebacks

Refunds are made from your Mercado Pago account. A full refund removes the student's access. A chargeback or a mediation pauses it and you get an alert; if it is resolved in your favor, access comes back on its own.

Which currency it charges in

Each Mercado Pago account charges only in its country's currency: Mexican, Colombian, Argentine, Chilean or Uruguayan pesos, reais or soles. It does not charge in dollars, so a product priced in dollars does not show the button.
