How to connect Wompi to charge in Colombia

Step by step

1. 1

Step 1: In your Wompi dashboard (comercios.wompi.co) go to Developers. Your four keys are there: public, private, events secret and integrity secret.

2. 2

Step 2: In Wislab go to My academy → General, Payments tab, and find the Payments: Wompi (Colombia) card.

3. 3

Step 3: Paste the four keys together, turn on Enable Wompi at checkout and save. Wislab checks they are from the same environment and that the private key works.

4. 4

Step 4: Copy the events URL shown on that card and paste it in Wompi, under Developers → Events URL. That way slower payments (PSE, cash) are confirmed on their own.

5. 5

Step 5: Price your bootcamps and courses in Colombian pesos. The Pay with Wompi button shows only on products priced in COP.

Try it before charging

Paste the test keys (they start with pub_test_ and prv_test_) and the events URL in Wompi's test environment. With test keys only your team sees the button and nobody pays real money.

Pending payments

On Wompi almost every method takes a few seconds or minutes to be approved. If the student comes back sooner, they see their payment is pending and get access as soon as Wompi approves it. The payment link expires after one hour.

Refunds and limits

Refunds are made from your Wompi dashboard; Wompi does not notify refunds or chargebacks, so if you want to remove access do it from the student's page. If you void a card payment, access is removed on its own.

Wompi caps each payment by account type: personal accounts have a lower cap than business ones. If your bootcamps cost more, check your cap in the Wompi dashboard.
