How to connect PayPal to charge your students

   Step 1: You need a PayPal Business account. With it, go to developer.paypal.com and open Apps & Credentials.

   Step 2: Create a Merchant app named after your academy. On the Live tab copy the Client ID and the Secret. If you want to try it first, use the ones on the Sandbox tab.

   Step 3: In Wislab go to My academy → General, Payments tab, and find the Payments: PayPal card.

   Step 4: Paste the Client ID and the Secret, turn on Enable PayPal at checkout and save. Wislab checks your keys with PayPal and registers the payment notifications on your app by itself.

   Step 5: Once the screen says PayPal tells us about every payment, the Pay with PayPal button shows on your bootcamps, single courses and memberships.

Try it before charging

Turn on Test mode (sandbox) and paste the keys from the Sandbox tab. Only your team sees the button and nobody pays real money. To charge for real, paste the Live ones and turn test mode off.

Refunds, disputes and memberships

Refunds are made from your PayPal account. A full refund removes the student's access; a partial one is recorded. A dispute pauses it and you get an alert; if you win, access comes back on its own.

When a student cancels a membership, PayPal stops charging and they keep access until the end of the period they already paid.

Which currencies it charges in

PayPal charges in dollars, euros, Mexican pesos and reais, among other currencies. It does not charge in Colombian, Argentine or Chilean pesos, or in soles: on those products the button asks the buyer to choose another way to pay.
